Al Jazeera Documentary Channel is honoured to announce third edition of "AJD Industry Days" - which will take place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is an event that intends to support the expansion of documentaries worldwide, including international co-productions, and aims to match key decision-makers with interesting and valuable projects. 

AJD Industry days plans to become a key meeting place for projects from the following regions: Southeast Europe, Caucasus, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). It is our great pleasure to announce that the launch of this platform will take place during the 7th edition of the Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary Film Festival (AJB DOC) 2024 – 13th to 17th September.

The Festival is organised by the TV broadcaster Al Jazeera Balkans, in cooperation with the Al Jazeera Media Network (AJMN) and the Al Jazeera Media Institute. The objective of the AJB DOC Film Festival is to promote authors and documentaries addressing social phenomena, focusing on universal human values such as courage, truth, justice, tolerance and cosmopolitism. We are happy to join forces and to bring authors closer to the brand that is the Al Jazeera Media Network. 

AJD Industry Days plans to meet during three days with various projects from the aforementioned regions and, after initial presentations, will culminate in one-to-one meetings.

It will provide SEE, Caucasus and MENA documentary filmmakers the opportunity to network with decision-makers and leading professionals from both the regional and international documentary and TV industries to help secure funding for documentary production, supporting broadcast, distribution, screening, and sales worldwide. Our industry days will consist of a variety of pitching sessions, panel discussions, one-to-one meetings, hands-on workshops and networking activities, followed by simple enjoyment of the vibrant city of Sarajevo.
