Extended Deadline for AJD Industry Days 2025

This is the right address for your unique documentary project ideas in various stages of production. We offer you the opportunity to pitch your project to Al Jazeera Media Network decision-makers and many other leading industry professionals from around the globe. 

Submit your projects and participate in the fourth edition of Al Jazeera Documentary (AJD) Industry Days, which will take place from 13th to 15th September 2025 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Call for Projects is exclusively for documentary filmmakers from the Southeast Europe, the Caucasus, the Central Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa (MENA) region or documentary projects dealing with topics related to these areas.

Project submission is free of charge.

There are three categories:

- MAIN PITCH – accepting all stages of project development and production by independent filmmakers and production companies 

- ROUGH CUT – projects in the final stages of production, intended for broadcast on Al Jazeera or other international broadcasters and platforms

- BALKANS PITCH – Specially invited projects suitable for regional and international co-production with Al Jazeera Balkans, Al Jazeera Documentary Channel, and other broadcasters

Accepted project owners will be informed accordingly and invited to present their projects on-site in Sarajevo to this year’s board of international broadcasters and prominent professionals who will decide on the winners. Winners will obtain funding for documentary production and support for their broadcast, distribution, screening, and sales worldwide.
